Floby Rescue AB, Sala Brand AB, and SZCZΔΕNIAK Pojazdy Specjalne Sp. z o.o., based in Poland, are the successful bidders.
Contract Specifics and Scope
Delivery, upkeep, and support of BAS 1, BAS 3, and BAS 4 firefighting vehicle models - including electrically powered versions - are covered by the Brandbil BAS 2025 procurement. The framework agreement guarantees a long-term, secure supply chain for vital emergency response vehicles throughout Swedish municipalities and regions, and it runs from September 16, 2025, to September 15, 2029.
Every vehicle delivery will come with extensive training, documentation, service guarantees, and 15 years of spare parts support. The contract's maximum possible framework value is SEK 1.56 billion, with an estimated total value of SEK 1.2 billion (about EUR 104 million).

A regional authority with its headquarters in Stockholm, Adda InkΓΆpscentral AB, carried out the procurement in accordance with Sweden's Public Procurement Act (LOU 2016:1145). Following an open process, the winners - Floby Rescue AB (Floby), Sala Brand AB (Sala), and SZCZΔΕNIAK Pojazdy Specjalne Sp. z o.o. (Bielsko-BiaΕa, Poland) - were chosen based on quality and price criteria.
Four tenders in all were received, and BGG-Service AB was noted as a participant who did not win. On August 18, 2025, the award process came to an end, and on September 16, 2025, the contract was signed.
