• Description:
• Sweden's municipalities are responsible, following a parliamentary decision in 2023, to collect and treat separately sorted textile waste that constitutes municipal waste from 2025-01-01. Textile waste is defined as waste consisting of textile clothing, home textiles, interior textiles, bags and textile accessories (according to amendment SFS 2025/824 in the waste regulation 2020:614). Due to the current situation in the textile industry, the municipality of Nyköping has chosen to cancel the current agreement and make a new procurement. The intention is to procure an overall solution including the collection of textiles from recycling stations (ÅVS), recycling centers (ÅVC) and possible locations close to properties in the municipality (FNI). The municipality of Nyköping wants an actor for the current flow who can manage the collected material in accordance with the intentions of the waste hierarchy. The collection takes place in a joint flow with textiles for reuse and textile waste. The textile waste must be separated and sorted out for material recycling and last resort as energy recovery. The collected volume in the municipality of Nyköping amounts to approx. 300 tonnes on an annual basis. The procurement includes the total transport solution including collection, sorting, possibly storage and disposal of the municipality's total volume regarding textile waste. The assigned contractor is thus both entitled and obliged to undertake collection from all recycling stations, recycling centers and property-close collection points within the municipality that the municipality wishes to collect...
