Chalmers's ambition with the agreement is to control the purchases of computers to designated standard models from the seller's range. In addition to standard models, Chalmers also needs to be able to buy other types of computers such as workstations, rugged computers etc.
Chalmers IT department today administers approximately 5,600 computers for employees and 1,600 in computer rooms for students. The computers mainly come from three different manufacturers.
