- The business unit works on behalf of the municipal council and its business committees as well as the Environment and Community Building Committee, the Culture and Leisure Committee. The goals of the work are set in collaboration with the local business community and the municipality's elected representatives.
The business unit's activities are based on the idea thatwork by collaborating with business promoting actors. We do this, among other things, in the business house which is a meeting place for all actors and partners.
Business will create results in the following areas:
• Strengthen entrepreneurship and the pride in Nykoeping
• Promoting access to labor withCorrect competence
• Create more start -ups with high stability from start
• Increase the range of different types of companies through business start -ups
• Promote development and innovation in medium and small companies
• Contribute to attractive city center with developed trade
• Strengthen and develop the visitor industryIn collaboration with Nykoeping Tourism
• Support and develop the association life
In order to enable set goals, the client, in addition to the competence and resources that exists within its own operations, needs to supplement with consulting support for:

- Expert skills within ActiveAreas (innovation and academic environments/research/projects as well as customer experience/customer service)
