The diagnostic center in Oestergoetland (DC) consists of the laboratory operations at the county's three (3) hospitals and most of the county's health centers, medical radiation physics (MSF) and the X -ray clinics at the county's three (3) hospitals in Motala, Norrkoeping and Linkoeping. Clinical pathology is a regional -wide,Accredited unit (SS-EN ISO 15189: 2022) within the diagnostic center in Oestergoetland. In addition to the morphological diagnosis, the unit is also responsible for puncture and autopsy and mortgage operations. In clinical pathology, the work takes place in subspecialized teams, and uses both established and newerDiagnostic methods such as molecular pathology. Digital diagnostics are introduced for histopathological material and is available for primary diagnostics in daily operations both internally and for external use. Clinical Pathology, Region Oestergoetland serves all of Oestergoetland and receivesSurrender and consultations from the southeastern healthcare region. The University Hospital also has agreements on operations outside the region. In order to cope with increasing volumes with maintained security of supply, clinical pathology needs to supplement its own resources with external diagnostic support.
