LTM (Long Term EEG monitoring), also called seizure registration with Video-Eeg or just video-EEG, involves a continuous registration of EEG (electroencephalogram = "brain waves") and simultaneous video registration. The purpose is to capture episodes suspected of being epileptic seizures, and both EEG patterns As clinical signs are analyzed and assembled before the final assessment. Registration usually lasts several days.
EEG LTM is a cornerstone in the basic investigation of difficult -to -treat epilepsy.
