Description:
The elderly residence Karl-Johansgarden in Uppsala will undergo a major renovation and Uppsala Municipality therefore plans to modernize the accommodation in order to be able to meet today's requirements in elderly care. Modernization means, among other things, that Karl-Johansgarden is being built in order to add spaces and functionsthat the accommodation lacks today. Additional apartments will also be created by changing the use for parts of the building. The redevelopment will also involve demolition of existing link buildings connecting Karl-Johansgarden with other buildings on the site. The surface affected by the projectis approximately 8800 sqm BTA, the number of apartments is increased from the current 92 to about 101 lgh. The publication of the procurement is planned during week 26, by 2025. The project is done in collaboration with the property owner Rikshem Uppsala.
