SMHI has received more assignments from other authorities and will need to expand their resources within eg. System development. Before the summer, SMHI plans to advertise a number of services in the System Development segment with a message start in early autumn 2021.
SMHI is looking for a (1) system developer who is an expert in QGIS and which can support SMHI development teams. Primarily, the consultant must be supported in the development work that consists of replacing ArcGIS in SMHIS Ice Parking Systems Vanadis. During the contract period, the consultant may also work in other development work within QGIS. SMHI is facing developing a new icing system in the Open Source software QGIS but retaining the other parts of the production chain, including the current Postgresql database (VCBD) .Vämvningen the assignment on an annual basis is estimated to be 10-30% of a full-time service.
