- The County Administrative Board procures the field sampling service for suspected pollution damage regarding PFAS as well as verifying sampling of contaminated sediment. The project is financed by state grants from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and in the year 2026 the County Administrative Board has been granted funds for examination of 20 pcs. PFAS-contaminated areas and 5 pcs. contaminated sediment areas. The goal of field investigation of both PFAS and sediment is to obtain information on the presence of contamination (detect contamination). With regard to sediments, the survey aims also to try to confirm or dismiss the pollution sources that potentially spread pollution to the sediments. Tenders can be submitted for both PFAS and Sediment, alt. one of these. Current conditions are that the Environmental Protection Agency's contribution is not allowed be used outside the granted year, therefore all work must be completed by December 2026.
